Here are some photos of the last time Irish Road Bowling took place in Hartford.
Irish Road Bowling, also known as "bullets" in County Armagh, is played with a ball made of iron and steel that is heavy enough to pick up speed, yet small enough for any person to handle.
It can be played one against one or played on teams of four people.
Besides the basic rules, all a participant does is hurl the 28 ounce-sized bowl with an underhand motion over a one to two mile course.
Scored like golf, the fewest number of shots from the start to the finish line wins.
Irish Road Bowling is played in County Tyrone, County Louth, County Armagh and County Cork.
However, it's predominantly played in County Armagh and County Cork with Ból fada every Easter in County Armagh and the All-Irelands in the summer taking turns being played in County Cork or County Armagh.
